Olathe Station is a large shopping center in Olathe Kansas. For this project we replace a good deal of the deteriorated curb and sidewalk around the store frontages and constructed new concrete curb islands in the center of the parking lot. This project consisted of sawcutting and removing the deteriorated concrete, forming and pouring new concrete curbs and sidewalks. The primary concern of the property manager and store owners was disruption to their business. We minimized any disruption by completing the work in phases, after or before hours, and using fast setting high-early concrete mixes when the slabs needed to be open to foot traffic quickly.
